The true cost of concerts is never covered entirely by ticket sales. Unassuming as chamber music may be .. a few skilled musicians performing for small audiences .. there are nonetheless many details that require care and dollars. Our musicians receive modest honoraria. Pianos are tuned, ads placed, reminders mailed, programs printed, receptions provided.
CMHH begins its 10th season in good financial shape, and we know much of that good fortune is due to the popularity of our home recitals. This year these home recitals are again on Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings, last about an hour and a half, and conclude with wine and hors doeurves. Contributors in named categories -- Friend, Patron and Benefactor -- will be invited to attend the home recitals, although they may of course prefer the All Saints alternative. If you wish to make a contribution, we suggest you print out this page, fill in the blanks, and mail it to CMHH along with your check. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards!
Remember, please, that your contribution should be in addition to tickets. An example might be a couple wishing to make the minimum contribution entitling them to the entire season of home recitals: $45 (season ticket) x 2 = $90 + $100 (contribution) = $190.
Chamber Music Hilton Head is a registered non-profit arts organization, and the gift portion is tax deductable.
